From Google to Startup

Our Founder, Simon talked to Careershifters about the nitty-gritty of leaving one of the world’s biggest companies to start your own business. It isn’t actually as common as one might think, and unfortunately it’s not as easy, either. In this interview Simon doesn’t hold back, and goes into detail about why he felt that his work at Google lacked soul, and what eventually led him to go out on his own. He talks candidly about the ups and the downs — the good and bad sides of being your own boss, from working all hours of the day and night to having complete control over the office Spotify account.

Everyone knows that it’s not easy to start up your own business, and in fact it’s that sentiment which often puts people off, but, as Simon points out, if you persist and look at failure as a valuable learning lesson then you will get there (eventually). If you want to learn a bit more about what it’s really like to start your own business, then you can read the whole article here.
