Should you go to work when you’re ill?

Our Head of Content, Monica Karpinski, was interviewed by Management Today about whether it’s best for employees to stay home if they’re unwell. In recent years, managers have started to raise concerns about “presenteeism”: workers coming in when they’re genuinely sick. 86% of workers have gone to work with an infectious illness and a further 24% claimed to be under pressure to show up when ill. In this piece, Monica laid out Curated’s approach: when it comes to sick days, employees know their bodies and abilities best, so they should have the final say.
